The proposed centre provides a place for essential community service to collaborate, co-ordinate and pool service delivery resources for greater efficiency in the region. A focal point for the community to come together and belong.
The design represents an open and inviting tropical facility with elements of Torres Straight Island Culture for the community to be part of. The facility will include tenancy space for community services providers, shared staff amenities and meeting rooms, a resource centre and multi-purpose centre (located in a re-purposed shed).
Due to its remote location, achieving a cost -effective and efficient design without compromising on best practice standards is paramount.
